Smoothie King in York, Pennsylvania, held its second fundraiser in memory of Mandy O’Connor on October 13. Sean and Nicky Krebs, Smoothie King franchisees and close friends of Mandy and Devin’s, once again donated 50 percent of their sales on what would have been Mandy’s 33rd birthday. Mandy died due to EHE on April 5, 2015.

Customers poured into the Smoothie King located at at 2609 E Market St in York throughout the day. When the Krebs’ closed their doors, $715.63 had been raised for EHE research.

The Krebs’ support is one of many ways Mandy’s family and friends are continuing to keep her fight alive. Along with Smoothie King and the annual York EHE Foundation Golf Tournament, upwards of $39,000 has been raised in memory of Mandy.
