About the Event

The 10th Annual EHE Fun Run & Walk is a community-driven awareness and fundraising event supporting people affected by epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE).

This virtual event has no set event date!*
This event is unique by design. The EHE community is global, so it is impractical to hold a single coalescing event. However, many families and supporters form teams and bring it to life locally by organizing walks, runs, and gatherings within their own communities. The EHE Fun Run & Walk is an event where everyone can participate in their own way, united by a common goal, no matter where they are.

The EHE Fun Run & Walk brings communities together to support people living with EHE, spread awareness, and raise critical funds to advance research. Last year, the 9th Annual EHE Fun Run & Walk welcomed more than 1050 participants and raised more than $90,000 toward impactful EHE research.

Why is the annual EHE Fun Run and Walk so important?

Do I have to be a runner to participate?

No, running is not required to participate in the EHE Fun Run and Walk! You only need a desire to support and encourage someone affected by EHE. You may choose to do a 5K (3.1 miles) or 1K (0.62 miles) by walking or running or however you like (biking, skating, swimming...the possibilities are endless!). You can split it up into smaller distances or even choose not to run or walk - we don't require you to report back on your results! We appreciate all efforts to advance awareness of EHE, whether that's gathering a large team for an in-person event or wearing your T-shirt year-round.

What is a virtual fun run?

Because our community is global and rare, a virtual event eliminates the stress and expense of everyone traveling to one location and lets you participate wherever you are. Gather everyone locally on the same day and create your own in-person event, or encourage your team members to participate at a time and place that works for them. However you choose to participate, you're part of a global movement for EHE.

Do I have to hold a local event to have a team?

How do I access my Team Fundraising Page

As a Team Captain, what link do I share with my community?

RunSignup assigns every person who registers for the virtual event an individual fundraising page, including Team Captains. So, Team Captains have a team fundraiser with a name they created and an individual fundraiser under their full name. Donations can come in under either one, and they all roll up under the team total. We recommend you share your Team Fundraising link since it provides the opportunity to join the team to receive an event T-shirt and/or donate. Your Team Fundraising link was shared in an email with the subject line: New Team Fundraiser created for the 2025 EHE Fun Run & Walk.

Do registrations count toward my Team Total?

As a Fundraising Team Captain, how can I track my team's registrations and donations?

There are two places to check your team's progress.

To see your Team Fundraising Total, look for your team name in the Top Teams section of our EHE Fun Run & Walk Registration page. That is the number used to award incentives. This number will match the progress bar on your Team Fundraising Page (see previous FAQ for instructions to access this page).
Login to your RunSignup Profile and scroll down to the big purple Fundraising tab. Look for your Fundraising Team. Links in that section provide reports on donations made to your team and team members who have registered and will receive a t-shirt. There is not a downloadable report that combines registration dollars with donations.
