Earlier this month, Angela Osborn, along with numerous family and friends, gathered for a night of poker in Washington in order to honor her late brother Brian Frank. Along with the poker tournament, a silent auction was held, T-shirts and sweatshirts featuring Brian’s initials and birthdate were sold, and at the end of the evening, a staggering $11,000 had been raised to fight EHE!
“People absolutely love to come out and support a cause that they KNOW their money is going directly to research,” Osborn said. “We lost our Brian, but we all hope to save someone else from losing a loved one from EHE.”
Brian passed in September of 2014 at the young age of 28, but Angela’s family continues his fight. This was the second poker tournament in Brian’s honor. In 2015, the event raised $7,000!
From the entire EHE community, we thank the Osborn and Frank families for their ongoing support of EHE research!
