Carrying Sharon’s Hope Forward

Sharon’s husband, Howard, sums her up in one word: selfless. She wanted nothing more than for her family to be happy and cared for, and she was the glue that held them together. Her smile brightened everyone’s day.

When Sharon’s tumors began to grow and her pain became debilitating, she endured ablations, an off-label drug with terrible side effects, and finally, chemotherapy. But the disease burden was too much, and Sharon passed away on March 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

At the link below, Howard tells her story and why he gives to EHE Foundation every month in her memory.

“An approved treatment for EHE did not come soon enough for Sharon, but I have tremendous hope that something is on the horizon for others living with EHE.” - Howard Brener

Remember Someone You Love

A tribute page is a place for a legacy to endure, where photos, stories, and the details worth holding onto can live. It gives family and friends somewhere to gather around a person's memory, and a way to turn that memory into research that will change what an EHE diagnosis means.

You can add to it over time. Share it whenever it feels right, on a birthday, an anniversary, or the day you just want people to remember with you.
