Most people diagnosed with EHE have never heard the words ‘epithelioid hemangioendothelioma’ before their own diagnosis. Many people living with EHE have never met anyone else who has it – EHE is a 1 in a million cancer. One of the most powerful things that can happen is to find someone who understands, who you can relate to, someone who might be like you.
Your story can touch a person who was just diagnosed last week, a parent in a far-away part of the world searching for answers, a partner who is trying to understand what comes next and worried for the future. It tells others they are not alone.
Your story can be simple. Share parts of your journey that you want others to know. Share things that can help someone or bring hope. Share pieces that bring you comfort. You can share how you found out you have EHE, your treatment, what you wish you had known before, and what keeps you going. There's no wrong way to tell your story. Some people even choose to share their story on video.
